Cookie Policy

LAST MODIFIED: October 29, 2020

This Cookie Policy (“Cookie Policy”) is an important supplement to our Privacy Policy (available here), and provides additional information about how we process user and usage data related to the Services. All data collected using cookies and similar technology is subject to our Privacy Policy and accordingly any undefined terms used herein have the meanings ascribed tom them in our Privacy Policy.

GENERAL

Cookies. Cookies are small text files containing a string of characters that are stored on your computer or other device to collect information. This information is used for a variety of purposes, such as helping users navigate websites efficiently or authenticating users of certain applications. Cookies are distinguished based on who places the cookie, the time the cookie persists on your computer or device, and the purpose or function the cookie serves. For example, cookies can be “first party” or third-party” which differentiates between cookies set by a website or application owner (i.e., first-party cookies) with cookies set by parties other than an owner (i.e., third-party cookies). “Session” cookies expire or are deleted upon closing your web browser or exiting the application in which they may be deployed, whereas “persistent” cookies remain on your computer or device for a set period of time, and session and permanent cookies may be used for several purposes, such as enabling core functionality of websites and applications, analyzing how a user uses a website or application, or to provide you with personalized advertisements based on your online activity. Cookies – except for cookies necessary (or essential) for functionality of a website or application – can be disabled, deleted or limited by you through your browser, device, or application settings but these actions may make the website or application less efficient or remove any individual preferences you may expect to see (e.g., language preferences).

Essential cookies are essential to providing you with our Services. Function cookies allow us to improve your experience on our Service.
Performance cookies allow us to monitor website visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our Sites. They help us find out which pages visitors go to most often and understand how visitors navigate our Sites. All the information in these cookies collect is in aggregate form and therefore anonymous. Targeting cookies are used to make advertising messages more relevant to you. They perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing, ensuring that ads are properly displayed for advertisers, and in some cases selecting advertisements that are based on your interests. The intention is to display ads that are engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third-party advertisers. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

Pixels or Web Beacons. A pixel is a tiny image that may be embedded within web pages and emails, requiring a call (which provides device and visit information) to our servers in order for the pixel to be rendered in those web pages and emails. We use pixels to learn more about your interactions with email content or web content, such as whether you interacted with ads or posts. Pixels can also enable us and third parties to place cookies on your browser.

OUR TECHNOLOGY USE

Similar to most companies, HYPR uses certain technologies to collect information in order to perform a host of activities through our Site and Apps, and some of the information collected may be considered Personal Data under applicable Data Protection Law. For example, we use this technology to make our Services more efficient and user-friendly, to deliver content tailored to your interests, to statistically analyze usage of the Site, and to improve and customize our content and other offerings. However, we do not employ technology that can read data off your hard disk or read cookie or other files created by other sites, and to the extent any collected information is disclosed to a third party it is done in accordance with our Privacy policy and typically on an aggregated basis intended to prevent its association with you or any other natural person.

Of course, we always obtain your consent prior to our placement of cookies – either through written agreement (e.g., EULA, Master Subscription Agreement) or by acknowledging our Privacy Policy or cookie banner when you first visit our Site or App.

You may also control if and how cookies and other technologies are used in your use of our Site and Apps by changing your browser or device settings to refuse or restrict cookie or other placement or use, deleting cookies and other technologies after they have been placed on your device, or withdrawing your prior consent to such use. In so doing, please be aware that under certain circumstances our Services may be unavailable or your access or use to our Services may be impaired.

Please see below for specific information on the types of technologies placed (and by whom) on our Services and the purposes they perform:

YOUR CHOICES

You can opt out of seeing online interest-based ads from Facebook and other participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance in the US, the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada in Canada or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance in Europe or through your mobile device settings, where available, using Android, iOS 13 or an earlier version of iOS. Please note that ad blockers and tools that restrict our cookie use may interfere with these controls.

More information about online advertising:

The advertising companies we work with generally use cookies and similar technologies as part of their services. To learn more about how advertisers generally use cookies and the choices they offer, you can review the following resources:

Browser cookie controls:

In addition, your browser or device may offer settings that allow you to choose whether browser cookies are set and to delete them. These controls vary by browser, and manufacturers may change both the settings they make available and how they work at any time. As of 5 October 2020, you may find additional information about the controls offered by popular browsers at the links below. Certain parts of the Facebook Products may not work properly if you have disabled browser cookie use. Please be aware these controls are distinct from the controls that Facebook offers you.

Alternatively, most web browsers allow some level of control for most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.

Do Not Track or DNT is a concept that has been promoted by regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), for the Internet industry to develop and implement a mechanism for allowing Internet users to control the tracking of their online activities across websites by using browser settings. Currently, there is no recognized protocol to accomplishing this goal and, as such, we do not generally respond to “do not track” signals.

How do we use Google Analytics? Our Site uses Google Analytics, an internet analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies that help the website to analyze user behavior. User behavior is captured by the cookie and then transmitted to and stored by Google in the United States. We have enabled the IP address anonymization feature for our Site. This feature of the Google Analytics Collection Network service truncates the IP address of individuals before being forwarded to the analytics engine. Any visitor may opt out from Google Analytics across our Site by visiting http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How often will you update this Cookie Notice? We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please therefore revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.

Targeting Advertising. Please note that third parties (including, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookies. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and service that you may be interested in. They may also employ technology that is used to measure the effectiveness of advertisements.

Contacting Us. If you have any questions or suggestions with respect to this Cookie Policy, you can write to us at support@hypr.com or 1001 Ave of the Americas, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10018 – or you can simply click on Contact to send us an email.
